Tough times? Feeling depressed… read this Psalm

I love the David’s honesty in this prayer! He has sorrow in his heart, depression has set in. His circumstances seem overwhelming.
Can you relate? Are you struggling?  Does it seem like the world is against you?
If so, read the Psalm all the way through. After crying out to God, David trusts God, he rejoices over his salvation. As David contemplates the Lord – he sings!
No matter the situation, please be reminded that the Lord has not left you nor forsaken you. He loves you. Cry out to him in your despair. Sadness turns to gladness for David as he is reminded of the steadfast love of the LORD.

I am praying that your sadness turns to gladness as you realize the steadfast love of the Lord in your own life.

Psalm 13

How long, O LORD? Will you forget me forever?
How long will you hide your face from me?
How long must I take counsel in my soul and have sorrow in my heart all the day? How long shall my enemy be exalted over me?
Consider and answer me, O LORD my God; light up my eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death, lest my enemy say, “I have prevailed over him,” lest my foes rejoice because I am shaken.

But I have trusted in your steadfast love; my heart shall rejoice in your salvation.I will sing to the LORD, because he has dealt bountifully with me.
